  • Pros: 2nd oldest mag in the US
  • Cons: DNA

Harper's is well written by people who care about what they write. The articles can range from fairly short to fairly long. Whether it's about a political issue, modern day issues, something you should know about, etc, they always seem to be good articles. What surprised me is the writers are not afraid to use swear words. It's not an every-other-word thing, just here and there. Also, the articles seem to have a hip slant to them.

Harper's magazine is the oldest general interest monthly magazine in America and the second oldest continuously-published monthly magazine in the U.S. Harper's magazine consists of commentary which presents a unique perspective on politics, society, the environment and culture. Notable contributors to the publication in its long history include Theodore Roosevelt, Robert Frost, Winston Churchill, Horatio Alger and Mark Twain.
