My children love getting Highlights for Children magazine. My second-grader can read and understand everything, yet it is still challenging. My other little ones like looking through it and playing some of the games. I highly, highly recommend getting Highlights for Children magazine for your children.

Highlights for Children was a huge part of my childhood. I subscribed to a few other magazines, but this is by far my favorite. As embarrassing as this is to admit, I'm 24 and I still keep the subscription going for myself. It's just bursting with creativity, and we all need a bit of a bright beacon in our lives.

Highlights for Children magazine is an award-winning educational magazine for young readers. Highlights for Children magazine helps children grow in basic skills and knowledge, creativity, logic and reasoning. Regular features include "Fun to Read," "Fun to Do" and "Fun Things from You." In "Fun to Read," you'll find "Goofus and Gallant" a cartoon of two boys, one who has good manners and one that does not. There are stories about history and real people, fiction and science. In "Fun to Do" there are puzzles, riddles, games and jokes. There are also simple craft projects and science experiments. "Fun Things from You" features drawings, poems, jokes and letters to Highlights. First published in 1946.
