There is always at least 1 good in-depth article on something interesting in Maxim. They also have some filler articles that most wouldn't care about. Overall this is a good men's magazine.

I would never recommend Maxim to anyone because of the way women are portrayed. The covers say it all! I am a wife and I would not want my husband looking at other women with lust nor would I want my son looking at women that way either. Where are our morals? Does anyone value women and marriage anymore? This is a marriage/relationship killer! Looking at women that way is not okay!
